The Vice City Collection is Rockstar's first physical draft of Leonida
The GTA VI Vice City Collection is a $399.99 limited-edition box of 11 items themed around Leonida's fictional culture. Here is what is inside, what it references, and what it tells us about how Rockstar is building GTA VI's world.

Most video game merchandise puts logos on objects. A mug with a crest, a t-shirt with key art, a figure of the protagonist in a fighting pose. The product exists because the game exists, and everyone involved understands the transaction.
Rockstar’s newly announced GTA VI merchandise collection does something different. It sells you objects that belong to a fictional state.
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State — Vice City Collection is a limited-edition box of 11 items that ships on November 19, 2026, the same day as the game itself. It costs $399.99. The game is not included. And the entire collection is themed around an in-game television show called Macca the Gator rather than GTA VI’s protagonists, Jason and Lucia.
That choice tells you something about what Rockstar considers worth selling beyond the game itself.
What exactly is the Vice City Collection?
The full name is Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State — Vice City Collection. Rockstar describes it as “a premium Grand Theft Auto VI collectible set featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.”
A few things to be clear about upfront:
This is a merchandise box, not a game edition. Rockstar calls it a “Collector’s Box” and a “collectible set.” The game is sold separately. GTA VI has its own Standard Edition ($79.99) and Ultimate Edition ($99.99), both announced in June 2026. The Vice City Collection is a standalone product.
It is limited edition, sold in limited quantities, and capped at one per person. Purchasing requires a Rockstar Store account.
Current shipping regions include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and 21 European countries. Rockstar has confirmed that availability across Asia, Latin America, and Australia is coming, with details to follow. India is not currently available.
The box contains 11 items split across two categories: eight collectibles and three accessories (including an Oakley sunglasses collaboration and a New Era snapback). More on each below.
The collection is selling Leonida, not just GTA VI
Look at what the collection is named after. Not Jason and Lucia. Not Vice City alone. It’s named after The Goodtime State, which is what Leonida calls itself in GTA VI’s fiction. And “The Goodtime State” is more than a marketing phrase. Rockstar’s store identifies it alongside Grand Theft Auto VI and Vice City as a trademark of Take-Two Interactive, listed in the same copyright notice at the bottom of the product page.
The name “Leonida Keys” appears across multiple products, including the crossbody bag, the enamel pin set, and the sticker pack. The shot glass features Chunkee the Manatee, a character from the collection’s fictional media universe. The poster advertises itself as an illustrated souvenir from “the hit Leonida TV show Macca the Gator.”
None of this is framed as game merchandise. It’s framed as merchandise from a place. The difference matters. A GTA VI logo hoodie says “I play this game.” A Leonida Keys crossbody bag says “I’ve been to this place.” The second framing only works if the world is detailed enough to sustain it.
The Vice City Collection is a test of whether Leonida can carry that weight.
Macca the Gator: a fictional character becomes merchandise
Rockstar’s Newswire announcement describes the Vice City Collection as “inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.” That’s a direct quote, and it’s the most specific description Rockstar has given of the character’s context within GTA VI.
What we know: Macca is a pink alligator in sunglasses who appears to star in an animated television program within Leonida’s fiction. The Macca figure in the collection shows the character smoking and holding what the store page describes as “a flamingo blood martini.” The figure’s base twists open to reveal a stash compartment. Macca has also been confirmed visible in GTA VI’s Extended Look trailer footage, establishing the character as an in-game presence and not something created solely for the merchandise.
Chunkee the Manatee, who appears on the collection’s shot glass, is a secondary character in what appears to be the same fictional universe, though Rockstar has not explicitly confirmed the connection between the two.
What’s notable here is the editorial choice. Rockstar had the option to build a $400 collection around Jason and Lucia. Instead they built it around a fictional TV mascot who drinks cocktails named after flamingo blood. That decision suggests Rockstar sees the world of Leonida as carrying commercial value independent of the game’s plot. Whether that interpretation proves out over time is worth watching, but the collection is the clearest evidence of it so far.
The Vice City throwbacks
Three items in the collection form a set that carries historical weight if you know where to look.
The first is the Macca the Gator Magnetic Mirror. It’s a 9-by-12-inch electroplated pink glass mirror that Rockstar suggests can be used “as a tray or hang as artwork.” The second is the Vice City Collectible Swizzle Spoon, a zinc alloy decorative spoon that carries a specific label: “Collectible spoon — decorative only. Not for food contact.” The third is the Vice City Razor Blade Keychain, a silver-plated zinc keychain shaped like a razor blade with “blunted edges.”
A small mirror. A decorative spoon you aren’t supposed to eat with. A blunted razor blade.
Taken together, these three objects form a combination widely interpreted by gaming media and GTA community accounts as a reference to cocaine paraphernalia, consistent with Vice City’s longstanding roots in 1980s Miami drug culture.
GTA Series Videos, one of the most established GTA community accounts, drew a direct historical connection. According to their reporting and corroborating collector documentation on social media, promotional items including a mirror and razor blade keychain were distributed to press and Rockstar staff at GTA: Vice City’s launch event in 2002. The GTA Series Videos account described the Vice City Collection’s versions as “essentially modern takes on rare collectibles from earlier GTA releases.”
Two things to be precise about. Rockstar has not described any of these items as cocaine references. Their product descriptions use neutral language throughout. And the 2002 launch-party connection, while supported by community photographs and the account of a well-established source, is not part of Rockstar’s official corporate record. It’s documented history within the GTA collector community, not a Rockstar press release.
What Rockstar has done is put three objects in the box, describe one as decorative-only, and let the visual speak for itself. That’s a very Rockstar approach to the line between subtext and text.
The Leonida map changes the meaning of the box
The 11th item in the box is a double-sided poster measuring 36 by 26 inches. The front features illustrated artwork from the Macca the Gator show. The back, according to Rockstar’s store description, offers “a full view of the Leonida map.”
Every mainline Grand Theft Auto game since GTA III in 2001 shipped with a physical paper map inside the box. GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA V. The map was part of the experience. You unfolded it, pinned it to a wall, used it to plan routes before you’d explored enough of the game world to orient yourself from memory. It was one of the most consistently loved elements of GTA packaging.
GTA VI does not ship with a disc. According to Rockstar’s own customer support page for GTA VI editions and versions, the physical editions available at retailers contain a download code, not a game disc. There is no traditional game box with a paper map tucked inside.
The Vice City Collection poster is currently the only announced physical product that includes a Leonida map.
Whether this is a faithful reproduction of the in-game map or a stylized souvenir version is unknown. Rockstar’s language is careful. They call it a “souvenir poster” with an “illustrated” front side and “a full view of the Leonida map” on the back. “Full view” and “exact reproduction” are different things, and we don’t know which this is until higher-resolution images surface or the game launches.
What we can say is that a 36-by-26-inch physical map of a fictional state, included in a box themed around that state’s fictional culture, does more work than most posters in a collector’s set. It gives Leonida a physical footprint in the buyer’s space. That matters more when the game itself ships without a physical map than it would have a generation ago.
GTA VI meets real-world lifestyle brands
Two items in the collection carry the names of real, established brands.
The Oakley Frogskins sunglasses are genuine Oakley products. Matte black frames. Prizm Sapphire lenses (Oakley’s proprietary lens technology). O-Matter composite frames, Plutonite shatterproof lenses, Unobtainium grip rubber. The Vice City pink GTA VI logo is the custom element. These aren’t novelty sunglasses with a logo stamped on. They’re functional Oakley Frogskins in a GTA VI-specific colorway.
The New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback is similarly real. 100% polyester with PVC and 3D embroidery detailing. Vice City Leonida embellishments. The A-Frame is an established streetwear silhouette, not a novelty cap shape.
The Leonida Keys crossbody bag isn’t a named-brand collaboration, but it follows the same production logic. Ripstop outer fabric, recycled polyester lining, custom debossed YKK zipper pulls, woven patches. It’s built like a bag you’d actually carry, not display on a shelf.
All three follow the same logic: objects you would actually wear or carry, built to the standard of the brands behind them. The merchandise sits closer to streetwear than to the usual game collector’s shelf.

November 19: more than a game launch
The Vice City Collection ships on November 19, 2026. That’s the same date GTA VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also the same day GTA VI: The Album arrives.
The album, announced September 17 via Rockstar Newswire, is a 34-track collection of original music created in partnership with Atlantic Records. Six singles have already been released, including Travis Scott’s “RHYNO,” produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, one half of Daft Punk. Limited-edition vinyl and CD formats are available for pre-order.
Three products on the same date: a game, an album, and a merchandise collection. Together they turn November 19 into a cultural event with separate entry points for players, listeners, and collectors.
Rockstar’s Newswire confirmed that more merchandise is on the way: “look out for the arrival of more apparel and collectibles from the Grand Theft Auto VI Collection at the Rockstar Store soon.”
Separately, GTAVice.net reported finding approximately 55 additional GTA VI merchandise listings in Rockstar Store backend data via the Xsolla API. The items have not been officially announced by Rockstar, so they should be treated as unconfirmed.
What the Vice City Collection tells us
Most game merchandise is merchandise of a game. The Vice City Collection is merchandise of a place.
Every element points the same direction. The naming draws on Leonida geography (Leonida Keys, The Goodtime State). The central character is a fictional TV mascot from a show you haven’t seen yet. The brand collaborations produce functional objects you’d wear without explaining them. The map gives a fictional state a physical footprint, and even the throwback items connect to the cultural history of Vice City across two decades.
Whether the collection is worth $399.99 depends on what you collect and why. The design choices say more. Leonida has fictional TV shows and its own geography, and the branded merchandise works without the game’s name on every surface. Whether Rockstar is thinking about it in those terms or simply making good merch, the collection reads as a first physical draft of what Leonida feels like as a place.
The box ships November 19, the same day the game launches. You might own a piece of Leonida before you’ve set foot there.
